Family First Prevention Services Act

The Family First Prevention Services Act, signed into law in February 2018, significantly reforms the child welfare system throughout the country.   In addition to changing how states receive federal funding for foster care services, there are significant requirements for systems and service providers.  These include requirements for accreditation, enhanced assessment processes, prevention plans, and utilization of evidence-based programs.
